The Government Should Not Be Limited By Laws Protect...
The abuse of power is inherent to power itself. That is why a democracy is considered to be for the people by the people. A working democracy intends to have a balance of power. However, Judd Rose said, ââ¬Å"With power comes the abuse of power and where there are bosses, there are crazy bosses.â⬠In regards to the U.S government, privacy should be protected and respected. Especially as technology makes privacy harder to protect and there are more ways for private information to be stolen. The Government protects us from hackers, and terrorism, but it goes overboard, abusing its power by invading our privacy and storing it. The fact is that the federal government recently ruled that NSAââ¬â¢s gathering of mass phone and mail data is illegal. Yet many voters still Condone NSAââ¬â¢S spying practices. Though according to Sen. Al Franken, from Minnesota ââ¬Å"Americans arenââ¬â¢t getting the most basic information about what s going on with the NSAââ¬â¢s surveillance programs, and whether or not their privacy is being violated.â⬠. As Sen. Al Franken stated, the American people donââ¬â¢t know whatââ¬â¢s going on inside NSA and many people think data collected by NSA in recent years is safe. NSA stores data into a cloudbase, however it has a lot of issues and one big issue with cloud storage is business data is at risk. Putting information onto a server that is accessible to the public is a risky idea. Hackers can access all types of sensitive data such as: tax returns, bank records, mortgage applications, blueprints and business plans.
